Dutch Crown Jewels, Graaf 300 and NDA 20 Year Anniversary Season

It’s a wrap! The concert performances and recording sessions for Dutch Crown Jewels in June 2023 have been completed successfully. Simon Murphy and the New Dutch Academy brought new musical discoveries to life for audiences in the Koorenhuis The Hague, Paradijskerk Rotterdam, Stevenskerk Nijmegen and in Kasteel Duivenvoorde. Featured were recently unearthed 18th century symphonic gems by composers from the glittering Court of Orange including Hofkapellmeister Christian Ernst Graaf (1723 – 1804), Johann August Just (1750 – 1791) and Wilhelm Gottlieb Hauff (1750 – 1816). Dazzling arias by female court composer, Josina van Boetzelaer (1733 – 1797), sung by Flemish star-soprano Elise Caluwaerts, completed the programme. The new album is expected in mid 2024.
