OUR MUSICIANS

Some of the NDA musicians appearing in spotlight roles in recent years include the Greek soprano, Myrsini Margariti. Valued by colleagues and audience members alike, she is particularly popular soloist with the NDA. Myrsini has toured with as part of our “Bach and his Dutch Contemporaries” programme, and appears on the NDA’s GRAND TOUR Baroque Road Trip album in some of the most bravura of all of Handel’s bravura coloratura arias.

A member of the NDA since 2003, Swedish lutenist Karl Nyhlin has played on a number of the NDA’s albums including Corelli’s Concerti Grossi (2004). On GRAND TOUR Baroque Road Trip, he performs Vivaldi’s classic Lute Concerto in D. Interestingly, this is the very first recording of this famous piece played on the actual type of lute-instrument for which Vivaldi wrote it, the Gallichon.

Grand Tour

Dutch-based Polish cellist Aleksandra Renska has been a member of the NDA since 2010, touring with the orchestra throughout Europe, to Turkey, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Australia. On GRAND TOUR Baroque Road Trip, she appears as cello soloist in Van Wassenaer’s mesmerising Concerto Armonico in G.

German recorder player Elisabeth Champollion has been playing with the NDA since 2014. With the NDA’s “Bach and his Dutch Contemporaries” programme she has toured with the orchestra throughout Europe, to Turkey and to Hong Kong. She appears in Vivaldi’s Sopranino Recorder Concerto in C (443) on GRAND TOUR Baroque Road Trip.
